Healthier Feet, Healthier Body

by Patrick on August 12, 2009

A while back I wrote about the mat I use for applying acupressure to my feet. A therapuetic practice that my feet have long needed!

It’s been very useful since I started running; reducing stiffness and moving fluid in the joints, but it can also have a tremendous impact on the whole body. Especially for those of you who sit for the greater portion of the day.

However, I heard from some people that the size of the embedded stones in the first suggested mat’s surface made it a little aggressive and too painful to use, so I researched a couple of options and found a mat that might just be the right fit for those people who are just starting to learn the value of using this therapy for their feet.

This mat has a larger surface area than the previous suggestion, but the smaller stones embedded in it’s surface give a gentler mobilization to the joints and tissues of the user’s feet.

Whichever mat you use, you’ll find that they provide a rejuvenating effect that can help with blood and lymph circulation, releasing muscle tension and improving sleep.
